<p><span style="color: #707070;">I spent a big chunk of last Friday waiting on a couple of lines to get my hands on the newly launched iPhone 3G. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #707070;">Based on my previous <em>unsuccessful</em> experience of trying to get the original iPhone from an AT&amp;T store when it launched a year ago, I decided the Apple Store was the only way to go.  Being in New York, I had the luxury of three choices, and decided to head to the newest (and least known) Apple Store over on 14th Street and Ninth Avenue - in the heart of the old meat packing district.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #707070;">I wanted to document the experience for this blog, so I took a video camera along to record what it&#8217;s like being part of a line at an Apple launch event.  This short video captures the highlights:</span></p>
